Spokane is Changing. Not for the Better.

When I was in high school, I ran for the North Central Cross Country team. We would run all over the city—from Comstock to Five Mile, Minnehaha to Audubon-Downriver. I know all 29 of Spokane’s neighborhoods like the back of my hand, but today, many of those neighborhoods are unrecognizable.

When I was in high school, my parents didn’t have to worry about whether I was in a “good” neighborhood or if I was safe, because there was no cause for concern. Can you say the same for your kids today?

A Leader Who Has Done the Work

I’m Chris Savage, and for the last five years, I’ve scrutinized City Council meetings, studied their policies, asked questions, researched their voting records, and built a network of experts in the fields of housing, homelessness, and addiction. Through my colleagues’ insights, rigorous study, and common sense, I have developed real and practical solutions to restore Spokane to the city I once knew.

Spokane's Biggest Problems Are Getting Worse

Five of the current council members are pushing policies that drive up costs, fuel crime, and enable those suffering from addiction to remain cripplingly drug-addled. Feeling unsafe isn’t just a downtown problem anymore—it’s in our neighborhoods, parks, schools, and libraries.

We’re seeing the homeless on our streets, in our alleys, and in our yards. We’re seeing record fentanyl deaths and overdoses. Be it a child, sibling, spouse, or friend, no one has gone untouched by fentanyl’s monstrous effects.

We’re seeing housing prices skyrocket and those on fixed incomes wondering, “Will I be able to stay in my home?” We’re seeing many forced to take on roommates or move back in with family just to afford basic living expenses. Every citizen and business is struggling, but it doesn’t have to be this way.

A City Council That Listens Can Fix These Problems

It’s easy to point out problems, but hard work to find solutions. A City Council that listens to the people can fix this.

I will eliminate any policies that hurt our citizens. The urban growth boundary that Zack Zappone enforces is severely restricting development. Why would we limit Spokane’s potential for increased affordable housing when we are in a housing crisis?

I will enforce Proposition 1, which was passed with overwhelming approval. I will vote in Sit & Lie Ordinances that have been purposefully delayed—no more encampments near schools, parks, and daycares.

I will make public safety the top priority of our budget. The policies that tie the hands of our police officers and prevent them from doing their jobs are the reason we no longer feel safe in our city. This is unacceptable.

Spokane Is My Home—And I’m Fighting for It

This city is my home. I’ve done every job, from serving food to driving for Lyft. I’ve served on the board of Meals on Wheels, talked directly to those on fixed incomes, and listened to the lived experiences of the homeless.

I have seen crime explode on our streets—overdoses, break-ins, and violence. I will listen to you and be your voice because, just like you, I care about this city—our home.

A Brighter Future Starts Now

I can help Spokane build a brighter future. To be your next councilman would be my greatest honor.

It’s your choice. Your voice. Your vote.

Be part of common sense solutions.
